About Me

Howdy, Fam!

My name is Brian, I also go by Papa Racc or simply Racc. If it isn't obvious, I'm a raccoon addict. The name Bearded Racc came from a brain storming session with my friend Athal one day in Discord, trying to come up with a new name for myself on Twitch. I used to stream. Poorly. Very poorly. Haha. But we came to Bearded Racc and I fell in love. He was born. Raymond, my artist who does my emotes, made the classic racc art you see on most bottles. He created many of my original raccs. I've since had my kiddo step up into my artist role, and they are the Bearded Racc Co in house artist.

I love working with my kiddo on projects. They do custom raccs for custom orders, and for some special releases. Their art is incredibly impressive. I love it. Yes, I'm a proud Papa Racc.

I also work with my lovely wife, Meredith. She helps with order fulfillment and the manufacturing process (label printing, etc). She also keeps records and does the finances. But where she really shines is with her own line, Possum Curl. It's fantastic. Neglected, she doesn't get to do enough for it because she's a busy professor by day. But she's an incredible woman and mother, and I'm so incredibly blessed to have her. We've been married over 20 years.

My oldest boy, Rob, is a Marine. He also is a prison guard. He's a great kid. I'm proud of him and how hard of a worker he is. He's an impressive young gentleman who sets his mind on something and gets the job done. He likes using Racc product in his hair because he's not allowed to have facial hair due to his military service. Though he likes to grow it out between reporting times. Haha.

My youngest is Bub. He's a self taught artist in his own right, and an avid gamer. He loves video games. Too much. But what kid doesn't? I love my Bub. He's such a good kid. He is very kind and helpful, and caring about others. I'm proud of how he's turning out. He's a good kid.

Kiddo is my in house artist and officially works for Racc. They are an incredibly self taught artist. Did you know that all my raccs are done on a phone? Yeah. It's wild. We've gotten them tablets and a touchscreen laptop, but they're most comfortable doing art on their phone. It's heckin impressive! They're a kind kiddo, always helping out. They just graduated highschool. I'm so proud of them! Great kiddo! Super proud papa racc!

We live in NW Georgia. Just south of Chattanooga, TN. We don't currently do any in person events. I'm disabled and it's difficult for me to setup and do long day events like that, so we've not done them. Yet. We've considered them. Haven't ruled them out. Instead we're very active on our Facebook page. That's where most of our activity is focused. It drives a lot of the business. We do a little on Instagram, too. But it's mostly on Facebook. I'm a former OG Admin in the community Bearded Brothers United. That's where the BBUNITED15 code comes from. Saves 15% btw!

Love my fellow former Admins, they're all mods in our community, Raccoon Den on Facebook. It's a small community, but growing. We love our members and we're very laid back. If you get a chance, feel free to join us there! We'd love to have you.

I got into the business for various reasons, honestly. I look at it and I keep figuring out more reasons and driving points. But I love being creative, I love taking care of others, I wanted to make my own scents sure, I struggled with anxiety during Covid and the scent of the beard oil helped me with social situations tremendously. I was inspired to do this by Badass Beard Care, Fable, Bearded Squirrel (TJ helped teach me most of my base knowledge), and Tailored. These guys inspired and continue to inspire me to be a better me for you. I always strive in anything I do to do better. And they are a driving force behind it. I have great respect for them. The Admins have supported me greatly from the beginning at BBU. I'm so grateful to them for that. I've tried to make them proud.

I hope you have a wonderful day, and thank you for reading about us!
